We believe that having people visit the kennels can be stressful for some dogs which is why our dog homing appointments take place outside. The RSPCA Furness and Barrow Branch became a registered charity in 1966. In the years since then, our Branch has steadily grown to encompass the care of cats, dogs and rabbits which are brought to us by the RSPCA Inspectorate. Through a small group of dedicated volunteers, we work diligently to provide care for those animals that are most in need: the abandoned, abused, distressed and injured. The 'Animals' link on the left gives you access to pages showing the dogs, cats and various other animals that need new homes. The pages contain images and detailed information about animals that are available to be rehomed now – the information is drawn from our live management systems and updated daily.
